They always stuffed a small tomato into my hand and said 'Taste it, it's sweet !' whenever they saw me in the market with my Mom.
Now I have an 8-year-old daughter. When I approach their stall, I still feel the little warmth in my hand as always.

It has been there for more than a century. The store is full of reminiscent atmosphere. 

Go inside and say hello to the widow of the head of the subdivision, you will receive a cordial welcome.

台南真是個適合用雙腳慢慢逛遍的好地方。

小巷弄內，老建築一樓的café門口。小黑狗悠閒的趴著。除了偶爾抖抖耳朵，其他的時候動也不想動。 

Tainan is really a good place worth roaming thoroughly by foot.

In the alley, outside the small café located in an old building. A black dog lying prone care-freely. Except trembling its ears occasionally, the dog did not feel like to move for the rest of the time.

2010年5月。
坐三輪車遊胡同。師傅是外地來的，靠勞力賺錢很辛苦，我坐的有點心虛...師傅說："北京歡迎您！" 


May, 2010
Strolling among the old alleyways in Beijing City on a pedicab. The cab rider was from other place. He worked hard to earned the not-so-easy, laborious money. I had a guilty conscience sitting behind him. 
"Welcome to Beijing", he said to me.

兩個外籍工人攀在上岸維修的漁船上，邊刷油漆，邊高興的交談著。

左營的自助新村，今年六月就要拆掉了。
拆掉的不只是老舊的眷村房舍，也拆掉了歲月刻劃的痕跡及老人家一輩子的記憶。


This military dependants' village in Zuo-Ying, Kaohsiung will be demolished in June. Not only the old houses will be torn down, but traces of the time and memories of the elderly.

即將拆除的左營自助新村午後。
看起來有點嚴肅的大叔騎著腳踏車，菜籃裡插著花形風車載著小狗。


In the afternoon, the serious looking man was strolling in the to-be-demolished military dependants' village with his dog (in a basket inserting a flower-like pinweel).
